Description
I've filed complaints about this intersection countless times to SPPD and the City. The stop signs are ignored, excessive speeding and pedestrians walk at their own risk to completely oblivious drivers with zero regard for them.
This issue compounds with Rays games.
SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE THERE ARE FATALITIES!

(posted on behalf of Assistant Chief Luke Williams, SPPD) Thank you for your SeeClickFix to Mayor Rick Kriseman dated May 29, 2016. The Mayor has asked me to respond directly to you regarding the traffic issue occurring 2501 118 Avenue North. Community Service Acting Sergeant Crawford responded to this location and did not observe the alleged violations. This location is directly behind the Home Shopping Network (HSN) and is situated on a dead end street. The majority of the traffic is from HSN and is adequately controlled by the traffic light at 118 Avenue North and 28 Street North. The Rays Baseball game does not appear to affect the traffic at this location.
If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact Community Service Acting Sergeant Crawford at 893-4819. Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention.
Sincerely,
Luke C. Williams
Assistant Chief of Police
