Description

I live on Bearhollow Road in Westridge Valley, which connects Hobbs Road and Jefferson Road. Some drivers use our road to fly through and pass a slow driver on Jefferson and others just drive much over the 30mph speed limit. As a mother of two young children, it makes me very upset. Just tonight, a loud red pick-up truck revved his engine and floored it down our road. I shouted out "slow down" and they continued to drive even faster and drove again through even faster. Another driver almost mowed my husband and dog down a few weeks ago. When he motioned at her to slow down, she shouted expletives and said she could drive as fast as she wanted. Clearly the reduced speed limit is not effective. Would it be possible to put speed bumps on this road, similar to what the city has done on Cotswold Avenue? This is a residential neighborhood and we certainly did not spend money to buy a nice home on a racetrack where our children aren't safe.
