Description
The ease of south bound traffic flow along 92 street at 100th Avenue is especially problematic. The dedicated right hand turn lane for 92 Street travelers intending to turn W/B onto 100th Avenue is at the heart of this issue, abundantly obvious during periods of peak travel. While this right hand turn lane sits vacant, motorists wishing to continue S/B along 92 Street are backed, often times, right past the newly installed traffic lights at 104th Avenue. A quick fix might include the proper synchronization of the traffic control signals at 100th Avenue, allowing sufficient time to clear the back log of traffic, however a better long term solution might include redefining this dedicated right hand turn lane to include a 2nd lane of travel for all south bound motorists. The City Engineering and Transportation Services Departments were especially short sighted in their urban planning as it applies to this very busy intersection. Look forward to seeing future improvements. Thank you.
