No. This is NOT the property of VDOT. VDOT controls the property on the south side of the chain link fence closest to the highway. The CITY owns the property and sidewalk on the north side of this chain link fence. This has been a problem every year for the past several growing season. I am VERY FRUSTRATED with having to fight with the city every year about this and would appreciate it if this was given some real thought and attention. This stretch of Grayland seems to always get forgotten/neglected by the city which is SHAMEFUL since it is only 2 blocks south of Carytown. I intend to write my city councilman about this as well.
