Description
So, once again, the fools who set the lights at the intersection of Revere Beach Parkway at the new bridge, are at it again. The lights are set so out of whack that the traffic is backing up to Chelsea from Revere near the new bridge. This is really ridiculous. Can they not understand the light system. This intersection is like the Bermuda Triangle. They are always digging and screwing things up there. Can they not get it right, just once, can they not get it right? Please educate them.

Update received from MassDot:
Please remember that the traffic signal work is not complete at this time.
The "NO TURN ON RED" sign has been installed to protect pedestrians in the crosswalk and traffic from Winthrop Avenue travelling eastbound. This sign will remain in place in the final condition.
In the final condition, the traffic signal system will have four (4) signal phases. One phase will control traffic entering the intersection from Winthrop Avenue travelling east. During that phase and when the pedestrian crosswalks have been activated, taking a right hand turn from Revere Beach Parkway (Rte. 16) EB onto Winthrop Ave (Rte. 145) EB will be prohibited.
During the remaining three signal phases control vehicle traffic, traffic in that lane will have a green right arrow.
However, we do not have the option of providing a green arrow during construction.
MassDOT is aware of this concern and is working diligently with our contractor to expedite the remaining work and resolve the traffic congestion in this area.
We appreciate your continued patience and cooperation as we bring this successful project to a close.
