I'm emailing about a concern with the sidewalk project on Plain St. and was
hoping you could have someone take a look into it. I'm not sure if they are
putting another layer of asphalt but wanted to bring to your attention of a
potential problem at the intersection of Plain and Akron. A few weeks ago
they cut the asphalt at the top of Akron Lane with a nice straight cut but
the problem was that after they did that we had that snow storm and a DPW
plow coming down Akron Lane took out a couple of pieces of the asphalt with
the blade of the plow and ruined the straightness of the cut for the
construction company to asphalt against. This week when they asphalted the
sidewalk and the top of Akron they went to their original mark so now there
are a couple of holes and unevenness from where the plow had taken out part
of the street and also lifted it a little. My concern is that next year that
when a plow comes down I'm certain they will destroy this section.
