Thank you for taking the time to contact the City of Rockville regarding the streetlight outage on Starlight Court.
City staff has investigated the outage by 5 Starlight Court and found it to be a "no voltage," which means that the light is no longer getting sufficient power necessary to operate. PEPCO maintains the underground power lines feeding the streetlight and will need to locate the problem in the line and make the required repairs.
The City has notified PEPCO of the need for repair and has issued a permit. We will continue to coordinate with PEPCO and keep you updated, as necessary.
Your patience is appreciated, as this type of repair typically takes longer than other repairs by our staff. PEPCO's policy is to complete repairs within 90 days of permit issuance.
The other lights have been forwarded to the Lighting Technician for repair.
Thank you for your quick and informative reply. My wife and I moved to Rockville 10 years ago from the Princeton NJ area and we are very impressed with the city services we receive here. Keep up the great work!
