YES! needed for years. it is a dangerous/odd place to cross.

I respectfully disagree. There are two large crosswalks each within a block of this location. One at MacArthur and one at Kansas. I've lived here for 25 years and there is not a real need for a crosswalk here. Please continue to focus on potholes. Recently several on High Street have been filled but there are still hundreds withing a half mile of this intersection. I have and will continue to report those separately.

totally agree fiona but that hasn't stopped people from still using that intersection—usually to get to the post office. several times i've seen a pedestrian standing in the middle of the street caught between east and west bound traffic and someone turning. and yes, high st is a mess anyway…

Agreed that a crosswalk at High/Masterson would promote more foot traffic at a very dangerous spot. With the post office traffic, it's bad enough trying to navigate that first block above MacArthur if you're trying to come out of the P.O. lot.; seeing around parked cars and through the bushes/trees on the median is enough to contend with...don't encourage pedestrians to cross there.

I agree with this recommendation wholeheartedly. Make it easier for pedestrians to feel safe walking in Laurel, please. Thanks!
