Description
Left turn signal to go onto medlock crossing pkwy is red when the main light is green. It never used to be this way and makes zero sense especially when there is no oncoming traffic. No reason for it not to flash yellow like it used to.

From our Traffic Department:
Due to the construction on Old Alabama, the detection (which monitors traffic volumes) on Medlock Bridge have been damaged. This causes the sensors to think the traffic volume is saturated on Medlock Bridge. There are certain traffic volumes that turn off the flashing yellow arrow to prevent the T-bone crashes we have experienced at that intersection when the traffic volume is heavy southbound. The sensors believe we are above that volume.
In conjunction with the RTOP Manager, we are looking into a temporary solution until the construction is complete at which time the traffic signal operation will return to normal. Thank you.
