Why cant we have double yellow lines painted on Grand Traverse drive? This is a safety issue. Also there should be a crosswalk painted at some intersections

As stated "Because of these risks, the Institute of Transportation Engineers’ (ITE) “Guidelines for the Design and Application of Speed Humps”10 (1997) states humps should never be placed on
emergency response routes."
Studies have found a reduced response time, where every second is critical, and there is still additional wear and tear on the responding vehicles as well as private vehicles in the place of this traffic calming area. Also, be aware that speed humps are only effective when used in multiples, so there would be more than just one, which again attributes even more to a delayed response and to additional wear and tear.
