is this contact number for SPPD staffed 24 hrs? Because the noise started at 3:15 A.M. Doubtless the contractor will have some rationale, "we had to pour concrete" or something.

Update from the SPPD: yes, you may call anytime to report noise ordinance violations or any other non-emergency law enforcement issues. Questions related to approved construction activity may be directed to the Construction Services and Permitting Department, 727-893-7231.

Thanks. I see you've received multiple complaints on this issue. Is it not possible for SPPD or you, at the Action Center, to follow up on this issue now, on the basis of these multiple complaints? It would be much more helpful to me and my neighbors than your just closing the issue. Thanks again.

Update from the SPPD: law enforcement related complaints need to come directly from the complainant to the the SPPD while the alleged violation is occurring. With respect to noise ordinance violations, the responding officer would need to hear the violation from the same location as the complainant. This is why it is essential for the complainant to call the SPPD directly - posting on SeeClickFix is not appropriate for this type of complaint. SCF issues are typically closed when there is nothing more that can be done to address the issue from this venue, however if you would prefer, this report can be left in the Acknowledged status.
