Description

Due to poor maintenance by the state and village along Route 156 within the Village of Altamont, this road is prone to excessive flooding during heavy rainstorms and ice melt. Flooding is so rampant in this area that it causes severe basement flooding on a regular basis for the homes along Route 156. Potholes are beginning to form and standing water is the norm in the road and at the foot of driveways. Something must be done to remedy this situation that has become progressively worse over the past 2 years.
