It has a sensor or it wouldn't change at all...try stopping a bit farther ahead, some of the sensor loops are installed too far forward. It's a magnetic sensor it detects the mass of ferrous metal ( your car) moving over top of it. There also probably some connections to the lights at 6th and 28th that can effect the timing of the Branion drive light.

this is a problem at most intersections with the sensors but it only seems to affect people who have smaller cars,i know for a fact that when i am in a truck i have no problems getting the lights to change but if i am in my small car i need to pack a lunch for my time i will be waiting for the lights to change

actually, the problem is stopping past the loop. most p.a. drivers seem to think the stop line is ten feet past the cross walk.

just flash your lights when pulling up im pretty sure its the lights that set off the sensor thats why you dont have to wait in a truck

Exactly which type of sensor is used to control the Lights in PA, does anyone actually know? Are they ground sensor or are they timed lights....if they're timed...most of them need to be reset...they're too long in some area's.
