Description
On August 14 the main sewer line fractured on the 2000 block of Melvin Road, causing large amounts of raw sewage to come out onto the street and into residents' yards. EBMUD was very responsive and came out to fix the fracture asap even though it was a Friday evening. The repair required drilling through the street to access the malfunctioning sewer line.
Since then two months have passed and the road surface has yet to be replaced. This makes driving on Melvin Road difficult when cars are driving in both directions, and even more so on trash pickup day. When can we expect EBMUD or the city of Oakland to replace the road surface such that the lane is functional again?
