Description

The stop sign has already been fixed yet few if any drivers yield at the stop sign usually because they are going 30+ mph on this street and don't slow down in time to make a complete stop. People slow down when their are speed traps and resume speeding as soon as the traps or speed measuring devices are removed. Austin Elementary drop off, morning and evening rush hour are the main culprits. People do not respect the speed limit or stop sign on this road. A different measure is needed like "Please drive slowly" signs, speed humps and/or thermoplastic road marking signage indicating the stop sign ahead and to slow down. So many young children live in this neighborhood and it is a main crossing street for children going home from Austin Elementary.
