The reason there is already an open item is that people keep coming back, not because the city has addressed this with getting people out of the park and into shelters and housing.

These people do not want shelter or housing. I talked with someone who works with the homeless. He goes out before they are cleaned up and offers them help. They don't want it because there are rules and most are drug addicts. Oakland needs to start enforcing the laws and say where they can and cannot camp. A big lot or fix an abandoned building where they can stay. The city needs to put its big boy pants on and start coming up with solutions. So until Oakland starts respecting the rest of us, our dollars are spent elsewhere.
