There have been two deaths in the past 4 years on this two lane residential road with a 35 mph speed limit. It's less than a 1 mile stretch of road. Get your head out of the sand City of Charlotte. You have a responsibility to the citizens no matter what neighborhood. You know this qualifies. Please do the right thing.

I travel this road to and from work every day and am constantly getting passed across double yellow lines. Something really should be done to slow these reckless people down. Thanks for bringing this issue up!

In the cities own traffic study (http://charmeck.org/city/charlotte/Transportation/PlansProjects/Pages/Scaleybark.aspx), 81% of all driver speed beyond the posted 35 mph speed limit and 35 mph is well above the norm for a residential community street. Where is Patsy Kinsey (pkinsey@charlottenc.gov) to champion our safety issue?

CDOT is taking action with a new project. Hopefully, this will make for a more pedestrian, biker, AND vehicular friendly road once completed.
