Description

The new traffic lights at the trolley stops are terrible. They're distracting because there is usually a traffic light half a block away, and they sometimes conflict. Also, this particular one is often constantly red, even when no trolley is coming in either direction - sometimes for hours, causing every car to stop, look, look again, and then go before crossing. I think that the flashing lights and railroad crossing bars that came down were much better. Also, people run the red light with the trolley coming anyway! As a pedestrian, motorist, and trolley rider in this neighborhood, Septa and the township need a better, safer solution for everyone.
