Is it possible to paint lines to clearly designate what I believe I be 4 parking spaces on the small portion of hillsborough street directly in front of historic boylan apts? Many people either park in such a way that only 3 cars can fit or they cram 5 cars in, blocking those in the middle from being able to pull out. This would also help keep cars clear of the fire hydrant.

Unfortunately the city does not install pavement markings for non meter spaces. Staff will submit a work order for no parking signage to be installed fifteen feet from the fire hydrant. Staff will also review the existing no parking ending sign to see if any adjustments can be made. Please let us know if you continue to have problems and staff will attempt to contact the landlord or management company for these apartments to see if they are interested in providing tenants with an information sheet regarding parking rules and suggestions for maximizing available parking space.
