I was visiting with two City of Houston drain technicians, and they agreed that this section of road is paved incorrectly and does not drain to the storm sewer. They noted this with me today while observing standing water from yesterday's rainfall. This is both a public nuisance and a health and safety risk due to the formation of mosquitoes and slipping hazard. I have sent multiple pictures as have other neighbors about this problem. It is not a normal drain pattern and only dries due to evaporation over multiple days.

This needs to be elevated to someone who can make a proper judgment on this issue. At one point, a city engineer drew up a plan to correct it and even painted the curbs with areas that would be cut and repaired with new concrete.
