This is the second SeeClickFix request for this item The first one was closed after asphalt was thrown over the hole without fixing the problem below the street. As a citizen I'm supposed to know the difference in types of potholes before reporting (ie, this item doesn't qualify for SeeClickFix because the pothole is caused by a cave-in)? The situation is a public safety hazard. Has Mr. WIlliams contacted DPU about this issue? When the crew came out and threw asphalt over the hole earlier in the summer did they not see that it's a cave-in issue and pass that to the appropriate department then? I still don't understand the purpose of SeeClickFix, as most of my issues are closed before any actual repair happens. It appears to me that SeeClickFix is simply a tool to generate misleading statistics on work and improvements being made in the City. SeeClickFix statistics touted on the CIty's Impact website page mislead citizen's that actual work is being completed by showing open items versus closed items but this doesn't mean issues were actually corrected. I look forward to a response. Thank you.
