Description
Young trees planted in new traffic islands in front of Dunkin Donuts and Sunoco will block ablility to see stop lights for the center turning lanes at those two locations as soon as trees leaf-out in spring. Can the one tree in front of each turn-lane stoplight be removed?

Hello Ms. Boan,
That's a good thought - you might be preventing an accident.
How do we fix this? Have you mentioned this to anyone at the Dunkin' Donuts, Sunoco or the town of Vernon yet? It looks like it's in Vernon, rather than central Manchester like it says at the top here. I think that's just a glitch in the map software.
I believe this is the contact info for the D&D you're referring to: Dunkin' Donuts, 10 Pitkin Road, Vernon Rockville - (860) 871-0897
And this is for Tri City Sunoco
75 Talcottville Road
Vernon Rockville, CT 06066-4703
(860) 872-9180
If you patronize either one of those establishments, it might be worth asking a manager to step out and see your concern, and ask owns the shrubs. You could then suggest that they trim or remove only the specific shrubs that will block the sight line when they bloom.
Remember, plants cost money so a helpful approach will be better than demanding.
Failing that, you could report this directly to the town at this link below:

Let me know if you make any progress or run into any obstacles. I'm happy to help.
