At the moment, we aren’t able to enforce parking in bike lanes since they aren’t established in our city code. Any no parking zones that exist within the bike lane for other reasons, such as crosswalks or traffic signals can be enforced since these are legally established in our city code.
Our bicycle/pedestrian group is currently working with the Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Commission on how to best move forward with bike lane enforcement. Are any of these cars in a signed no parking zone? If so, please post a reply and I will ask Capt. Lull's officers to keep a closer eye.
