Taking Powderhorn Ridge home from Adams tonight, I turned east to find that there was no lane available after I made my right turn! There are double yellow lines on Powderhorn Ridge now, and cars parked in the right eastbound lane as far as the eye can see. No lane was available to drive in! Plus the kids strolling the street are asking me if I know how to drive and itching for a fight. Oh, thank you Rochester Hills for such a fun time! Cars coming westbound were afforded two clear lanes of travel, but there was NOTHING but a blocked street if you DARED to travel eastbound. Maybe there SHOULD have been NO PARKING signs installed before the city decided to paint the double yellow lines. But no. I had to turn around and take Walton after this debacle; since Tienken, my normal route, is closed. I hope the city rethinks this brilliant effort to convey "safety" before somebody gets run over or attacked by kids defending their "turf"!
