Dominion Virginia Power has resolved this issue.

The limbs are still present. nothing has been done. I have photos from weeks ago to show that it is exactly as it was then. Please address this issue before I contact the city manager to inquire why this has been passed from one department to another without anyone verifying what actually needs to be done and be able to get it done.

The light is NOT out. The limbs from a nearby pine tree obstruct the path of the light thereby rendering it useless to to actually LIGHT THE STREET as a STREET LIGHT should. COME CUT THE BRANCHES THAT ARE NOT ALLOWING THE LIGHT TO DO ITS JOB.

Public Works contacted Landscape Management inquiring about this concern. I viewed the area in question and because there are several wires present around the branches, Dominion Power was contacted. Landscape Management will typically be responsible for pruning trees in events such as these however when wires are present and an extensive amount of work needs to be performed, Landscape Management will report the issue to Dominion Power for safety reasons. It sounds like Landscape may have addressed the limbs that they could that were not near or touching any wires. Dominion Power handles cutting back branches away from wires so that is why they were notified. I will follow up with this asap in an effort to push your issue further up the chain. I apologize for any delay or miscommunication in this matter and we will work towards getting it resolved. These two trees will be pruned under contract. Once this is complete, a comment will be posted and the issue will be closed. Thank you
