I realized that the instructions for the new waste disposal system were not clear. In the pamphlet it states to "bundle" 3x3 or smaller cardboard and place adjacent to the grey bin. It should have read, "bundle and tie together." Apparently the waste management companies missed this in their editing of the pamphlet. Let your neighbors know that they must be bundled and tied together.

Dear Emily! "bundle" _means_ "a collection of things, or a quantity of material, tied or wrapped up together"; it doesn't mean "piled up"! Bundle, tied whatever! waste management still should have taken it! most don't care, what drops stays, they can't even take a few extra discarded items to help keep Oakland clean doesn't make any sense.
