Stabilization Phase
This phase focuses on stabilizing the affected area to prevent further damage and ensure safety for road users. It involves securing the site and making temporary repairs to keep the road usable while preparations are made for more permanent fixes.
Temporary Repair Phase
During this phase, temporary measures are taken to make the road surface safe and navigable. This often involves filling the excavation with temporary materials like cold mix asphalt or gravel, ensuring it's safe for vehicles and pedestrians in the short term.
Permanent Repair Phase
The final phase permanently restores the pavement to its original or improved condition. This typically includes excavating the temporary fill, preparing the base, and then applying a permanent pavement layer to restore the road to its original condition or better.
This multi-phase approach ensures that the pavement is first made safe for use in the short term, followed by a more permanent and durable repair to maintain the integrity of the road over the long term.
