Description
The junk/inoperable autos at 1334 O'Shaughnessy are still there. After the 30 days, when you respond back there, please stop down the street at 1250 O'Shaughnessy and check these inoperable autos. Five of the six autos there are clearly jacked up, flat tires, unregistered or expired. I understand there is a repair shop behind this place, but this RESIDENTIAL yard is not supposed to allow for this. Thank you.

Just this same problem . Call Police, have them determine if the car is stolen. If it is they will have it impounded. If it is on Public Property they will arrange for it to be towed. If it is on Private Property, the owner of the property can call any towing service (e.g. Roadside Towing 256 533 0809....) and say "I have suffer an abandoned car that the Police Declare has not be stolen. Please tow this vehicle to for Private Property Impoundment." They require a signature to haul it away to impoundment. There is no charge to the owner of the property on which the vehicle was abandoned. Towing and daily charges apply to the owner of the vehicle. If the vehicle is not claimed and the fees paid, the car becomes the property of the Towing Service. I ask that Community Development Provide verify this information and to provide correct information to anyone filing such a report in the future. This will provide good community service for others cought in the Catch 22 provide in the SeeClickFix response to this too common problem.
Also : at the time the Police visit, enquire whether other ordinances are being violated by the vehicle obvious lack of car, abandonment, etc. They can tell you what actions can be taken to resolve your concerns. If they have no suggestions, call your City Councilman or the Mayor. They are vary helpful.
