Description
The stop sign on sellers is either hard to se if a truck is parked in front of it or people are just ignoring it. Maybe it should be moved closer to the place where Hinckley comes out to Sellers by Double Decker. It is hard to turn onto Sellers from the other side of Hinckley(by the bridge) because of the people running or drifting through that stop sign.

Could you distinguish for me which stop sign is hard to see? On Sellers, traveling away from Borough Hall, there's one at the end of bridge by the Music lesson store, and if you're traveling towards the bridge on Sellers there's one opposite the 7-11 near Grahams and the old Costa's Pharmacy.
I too have trouble pulling out of Hinckley onto Sellers from the Central Business District (CBD) because the signs are not immediately at the intersection where the turn is made from and it's easy to pull-out on someone when you expect that they have a stop sign too.
The CBD traffic pattern was redesigned a few years ago (humm, what year was that?) and I would believe the stop signage was addressed then, I'll check. I'll also get back with a photo, thanks.

When the Central Business District was being redesigned a few years ago and the idea to put a stop sign on Sellers at Double Deckers was put forward to PennDot the stop sign application was refused. Now, if the Borough places a stop sign on Sellers and there's an accident, Ridley Park Borough would be 100% liable for installing a stop sign on a State highway without a permit.
The RP Police and Ridley Park Borough are 100% unable to make a changes to Sellers Avenue, despite the problems you've written about. Without PennDot's approval the intersection must remain as is.
I'd offer the new focus for your voice should be at a higher level in PA's government where the decisions are in the planning phase that will completely change the face of Sellers Avenue, downtown Ridley Park, and Hinckley Ave.
In two years the Sellers Avenue bridge replacement will begin and the intersection of Hinckley and Sellers will be unrecognizable when the bridge is raised two more feet - stay tuned in for the planning phase is just beginning... hope this helps
