Description
Lack of curb at bottom of hill around corner has channeled storm water which then flows off into ditch (ride side of road going down hill, at bend in road). The flow of water is quickly eroding the roadbed, the pavement is already cracked and ready to collapse (see image, right side).
This needs mandatory and immediate attention! I fear that in the next heavy rain we may have yet another section of Scribner Hill Road that begins to slump, leading to costly repairs that the town and state will have to manage.
SIDE NOTE: Perhaps when town roads are resurfaced, the contractors should be told to install curbing on hills and around curves to divert storm water flows into catch basins, preventing these types of issues. Thanks!
