Description

The whole entire road of Islip Ave Rte 111 from Suffolk Ave to Main St is so bad that the pot holes are turning into craters. No amount of patching up the holes have helped. The road needs to be repaved and fixed. This has been an ongoing issue for several years. I have watched as other areas have been repaired, while this area is often a neglected stretch of road. Why are these roads not being fixed? This issue has been ongoing as they only patch up the holes, then a bad rain or snowstorm happens and the holes reopen. Why is this not being addressed at all? We are driving in an obstacle course and there is no reason that these roads should look like this to tear up people's cars. These holes cause us to move into oncoming traffic to avoid the holes risking accidents or total breakdown if the holes are hit. This is a safety and quality of life issue. We have been awaiting relief on this issue to no avail. When will this safety issue be addressed?
