The streets are much wider than they need to be in many residential parts of Littleton, and the sidewalks should be wider and there should be a grassy median between them and the road. Why did Littleton make the sidewalks so uncomfortable? What is the appropriate venue to discuss solutions to this?
I understand closing this issue. But where do I lodge a formal request for narrowing the streets in my neighborhood, and installing proper sidewalks, to make it safer and more pleasant? Many thanks!
Hi DL: I am very pleased you referenced the article from Dan Burden. I know him very well and have worked with him on several projects in Grand Junction and Shoreline, WA. I certainly agree with your general observations and Mr. Burden's perspective; however, what you request in the short term is very difficult. In my view, we need to start with a larger community discussion about what shapes our quality of life here in Littleton. Mr. Burden has been at my side as those two communities decided to have a similar discussion. I would welcome a conversation if you want to contact me at 303-795-3866.
