This has been a problem for a long time. The reporter is correct, reported before, but nothing done. It could be a real problem if not fixed.

No updates? Thankfully the ice melted. But the problem still is there. Running water from somewhere. Now that it is warmer and it isn’t iced over maybe it will be easier to find the issue

Thank you for reporting this issue, the water on the road edge is caused by groundwater that eventually goes into the catch basin.

Hi Utilities: Can you review again? The water NEVER drains, there is always water there, always puddles. It does not seem to go anywhere, ALWAYS there.

I agree. It never drains even on the hottest days in the summer —- all summer there were puddles In all my years and I am no spring chicken. There has NEVER been a puddle issue there and I walk that daily plus now there is a big pothole

Please review our comments. This is not a catch basin issue. It NEVER dries out. There is a leak somewhere. Could the Utilities and Water dept please review our comments and take a closer look?

The puddle gets larger daily. With no rain..... this never has happened before. There HAS TO BE a small slow leak somewhere.

After multiple unanswered emails to DPW (all mailboxes), a reply from the Mayors office simply repeats what was already posted. From Alyisa Hambly, Mayors office "Please be aware that the Water Department has investigated this issue a number of times, the water that is being seen is groundwater and not from a leaky pipe, unfortunately the water will go away when the water table drops."

I don't know why she says "unfortunately" and I do not agree with her reply. How can this huge puddle stay full and wet ALL year?

It is running water. It didn’t freeze 100% in winter. Only the edges did. There has NEVER been water there in my entire life and I am in my 50’s and walk and drive by there multiple times a day. I have not seen anyone out there looking at it at all. It just keeps getting bigger week by week

My goodness! They are WORKING at this site today, March 20, 2024. There are DPW trucks, police, tractor digging! Finally, after countless ClickFix tickets and multiple emails! Thank you!!!! (I hope they fix it).

Well it looks like there was a leak and it wasn’t ground water. Glad it is being addressed! Thankfully it didn’t burst mid winter

AHA! It was a WATER MAIN BREAK! No one listened to us, after 2 years of reporting and all their crazy answers about ground water...... The Brockton Hub reporters indicated it was a water main break that caused the DPW to finally fix it......
