Patricia, no need for such negativity. Oakland is doing a record amount of paving these days, made possible with funding from Measure KK and Measure U passed by the voters. I’ve been reporting potholes across Oakland on MLK Day for 10 years now. There is a lot of progress happening, but a lot of work left to do in order to get on top of a decades long backlog. Getting potholes filled is a bandaid, but it can help improve safety until the full fix can be implemented.
