Description
Suspicious drain pipe. Heard through a grape vine that the houses at Edgewood Ave and Grandview Dr empty their septic waste to the retention pond.

Q. Please describe the issue and provide a photo, if applicable.
A. I recently started fishing this summer and asked some friendly fishermen if Lake Patterson is worth fishing in. A few of them told me to fish there at my risk. Some told me about a pipe that they found that had poop running out of.

Q. Provide the nearest landmark, trail marker or intersection, if available.
A. I spotted the white PVC south of the intersection of Edgewood and Grandview and where the gravel path turns to the south. It's an odd spot to drain into. The other drain pipes I've found for this pond are corrugated steel and empty on the other side of the path towards the water. This one ends before the path and is in a slightly overgrown area.

Thank you for the detailed description of the pipe. I will work with our South Operations Manager to get some history on this. We might need to get Kane County Health Department involved, but we will keep you updated.
