The graffiti is a terrible eyesore on our street. We have been waiting for it to be fixed, and watching for updates from Brooks Turner. Please put this higher on the priority list. The report says it was reported "about a month ago," but I believe Brooks first contacted you in January. Please please work on this!
Thanks so much,
Winifred Ernst

Ongoing problem that needs to be resolved. Has anyone contacted the business located directly? Also this building is should never have been permitted. Exceeds building height to neighborhood.

Sorry it has taken us so long to post an update but we have been repeatedly trying to work with the property owner of the building, without success. If we remove the graffiti from the back of the building we will do it at no cost to the property owner, but the chemicals used to remove the graffiti are likely to remove the paint on the back side of the building at the same time, and the City does not offer repainting as an option in our graffiti removal program. The owner has therefore decided not to allow the City to remove this graffiti, so we can't do much more unless the owner changes his mind.
The building is owned by CE Rentals. The owner is Charles Phaneuf (charles@cerental.com). The phone number is (919) 833-9743. Our graffiti removal coordinator, Stacy Jackson, stands ready to help if the property owner changes his mind. We are going to close this issue at this point as the City can do no more without property owner cooperation.

Thank you for the call on Friday, and for explaining the situation to Chris Ernst. I understand that the paint is very expensive, and it might turn out that having the city build a fence across the end of the street to hide the graffiti would be just as cost effective. Thanks so much for checking on this for us. We look forward to hearing about both options...
1) the kind of paint remover being used (per David Knight's suggestion) and
2) the possibility of building a fence to hide it for good. None of us were pleased with the huge size of the building affecting our street to begin with, and the graffiti has added insult to injury. Thank you very much for your help, and we look forward to hearing an update.
