Description

The new sidewalk joins the new crosswalk and continues west along 9th Avenue - but bizarrely stops just 20ft from the only sidewalk entrance into the business (Lowe Mill).

The area has been freshly sodded - and is very uneven, with a dip - making access from the sidewalk and crosswalk unnecessarily awkward, uneven, dangerous and impossible for anyone with a disability.

This is extremely poor and shortsighted implementation of otherwise decent improvements to the corner of 9th and Seminole.

Please extend the new sidewalk to connect to the existing sidewalk that accesses the gate to the business to provide the connection the city obviously intended by adding the crosswalk - otherwise this is a significant failure of pedestrian and accessible connectivity.
