This has been happening for decades. I avoid that area like the plague when it rains. Why nothing has been done to correct this is beyond me, or is it because this area is a poor neighborhood?

Seriously, I have called the mayors office numerously and no response.

This is because UHaul unlawfully dumps all the water from their unpermitted parking lots, and unlawful structures that impede the brook that was illegally buried under their parking lot.Our basements are flooding, and cars getting ruined because 4 acres of water fall is unlawfully deflected. But guessing that the Sullivan payoff is enuf to look the other way :(. Should change the motto to City of Scams, rather than Champions....

Its always been an issue. I saw someone surveying the drains there so i walked over and asked them why it keeps flooding... the reply i got was actually intresting. He said that when the drain lines were laid they did not factor the proper amount of Runoff rain water for the main lines to handle... so its nothing the City did or can do about it, its the original contractors that installed the pipes

Annoyed, that is BS, watch the water when it rains. So much comes from their parking lot. street water is designed to go in stormdrains....this water gets so much volume and speed that is goes right past them
