Description

I sent the email below to the person over the police evidence room. I have received no response of any kind from the police department. I'd ideally like the return of my property. I have completed the forms, called, and emailed. Despite repeated statements from the police department that they would followup on the status of my property and then notify me, I've heard nothing.

Could someone please check into this and then give me an update?
Dear Captain Malone:

I want to follow up on the return of my Berretta Nano pistol and SKS rifle. In our last correspondence you were going to check on their status and said that due to Federal issues it could take 6 to 8 weeks. It is now beyond 8 weeks and I have heard nothing back regarding these items of my property.

Chris Hinz is the detective who had been working on the case out of the south precinct. I’m afraid I haven’t been given the case number. I also filled out a form at the evidence room requesting their return and I was told I’d get a response in 30 days. It’s now past 30 days also. Could you or someone you assign the duty please check on the status of these items and give me an update on when they will be returned.
