If public Services could provide an explanation of why this sidewalk has been not been cleared at all this winter it would be helpful in understanding the process.
Given the amount of times this property has been reported over the past two months it seems that if the City Ordinance on snow clearing was actually enforced that this would have been cleared by now. The ordinance states that if the property owner fails to clear it then the City will contract to have it cleared and the owner billed with the expense. Given the time-lines stated in the ordinance this should have been taken care of weeks ago. Public Services no longer has the excuse of frequent snow storms.
So I ask you, what is the problem with enforcing the ordinance? I think the public should be alerted to the actions, or inactions, of Public Work. Our tax dollars at work (or not).
Thanks in advance for responding.

This location was provided to a City hired vendor for sidewalk snow removal. The location is a priority 2 and the vendor has indicated to be at his location by days end of 3/13/15 or by the first of the week starting 3/16/15
Arrrg! How can you closed this when this completely blocked off sidewalk has been covered with snow all winter long and even though we've had some melting there is still (3-25-15) a full foot of snow on this sidewalk. Sherman St. has a dense population and many pedestrians. For you to just give up on this you are basically forcing us to walk out on the street. I certainly hope the City will be held liable for any accidents.
If you keep closing and saying you have resolved issues when it's so obviously still a problem we can see that it is this SeeClickFix process that is broken and needs fixing.
I will be making a PDF of this web page and sending it to City Councilors and Mike Bobinsky.
By the way, you left your red no parking sings which were presumably set up for the no-show-vendor who was supposed to clear. Not that any one is abiding by them, but maybe you are ticketing the cars to make up for what you are NOT fining the property owner.
