Description
Last week a jogger was nearly hit. cars traveling past this bend often veer into the oncoming lanes which is deceiving due to the odd mini cud-de-sac area as seen in the image. Neighborhood has no sidewalks and several children ride bikes to nearby schools. Double yellow lines are present in the other streets that mirror ours on 100th ave.

From PInellas County: Pinellas County Traffic Engineering recently completed studies on 136th Street North and 100th Avenue North, in response to the request for a “DOUBLE YELLOW LINE.” Based on posted speed, number of vehicles observed (low volumes), available sight distance and the fact that 90 degree curves are common in residential neighborhoods, we do not recommend the installation of a double solid yellow (DSY) centerline at this time.
DSY centerline exists on 99th Avenue North, but that road segment consists of three opposing curves in a row, which is unusual for a residential neighborhood.
