Description

When driving west on westheimer (outbound), the signal to turn left on to Fondren is far too short, except maybe in the middle of the night when there are little or no cars trying to turn there. Every other time of day, there is a long line of cars waiting to turn because only 2-4 cars have time to turn cycle. Realistically there's only time for 2, maybe 3 (if all the drivers are paying attention, which hardly ever happens anywhere anymore) to legally & safely turn. However, since this light is notorious for the ridiculously short timing cycle, usually 4 or 5 cars turn even though two of them are doing it illegally by turning after the light is already red. Like I said, this isn't just during rush hour, but happens consistently everyday when there's the slightest amount of traffic. the long line of cars (approx 12-20 cars) starts forming around 11:30am & doesn't improve until at least 7 p.m. Please adjust the timing... It is dangerous and extremely inconvenient and irritating the way it is.
