As a fellow manning neighbor, I don't see the problem that is being reported. The posted signs actually clear up the parking rules for the bridal paths and I appreciate that they are placed everything there is a snow emergency to make it clear. The sights are placed to designate which side to park on, not that plowing will only take place during the hours posted and it is good that the plows are coming through the bridal paths. The paths are a secondary street in Albany and if you drive around the city you will notice the secondary streets tend to have snow longer. When there is this much snow it has to go somewhere. Some may end up in a driveway. There are way too many for the plows to try and accommodate this. It is just a fact of life living in the northeast. Please don't post for everyone on the blvd as we don't all share these sentiments. I believe the city is doing a good job with snow cleanup. Thanks for the hard work.

Obviously you know the parking and plowing regulations for the bridle paths, so if you would post those, WE (I use this word deliberately) would really appreciate it, as would others who may or may not live here but are thoroughly confused and who have had tickets and tows because the city has not made these regs clear. Please be so kind as to un-confuse us. I am terribly sorry to speak for those on the boulevard who don't share these sentiments, and would never ever presume to speak for the never-confused. So which is the "odd" side and which is the "even" side of the bridle path, for example? On the east and the west paths? What of the berm-side signs that say "No Parking Any Time"? What of the white emergency signs that simply repeat those "No Parking Any Time" signs? Which side is meant by "emergency," and when? What of the plows that come through in advance of the posted white signs, plowing *around* (and *in*) cars parked on the house side? Did a huge load of heavy snow end up needlessly in your driveway because no plow operator has ever been told (though I understand there have been myriad suggestions of same over the years) to push the snow to the berm side, where there is no parking anyway? Have you tried to get out to Manning Blvd itself via the cut-throughs? The city of Albany is required to maintain the bridle paths; they are not "secondary" but access streets, since if you live here you know there is literally no other way to get to Manning Blvd or anywhere else from houses here without the paths. Similarly, neighbors are required to know the special regulations that pertain, and although I and others have called DGS, the APD, and Traffic Engineering for these regs, no one has seen fit to call me or anyone else back. This has gone on every year in winter for as many years as I've lived here. If there's a problem, given our tax base here, you better be sure I'll report it.

I will forwarded this request to Traffic Engineering as they are the ones responsible for all parking rules and regulations.
