I received a voicemail from 832-395-2128.
"Good Morning my name is W Lara I work for the City of Houston Traffic and Drainage Operations, I was calling you regarding two of your requests for a stop sign on the intersection of Nicholson and 10th St and another one for 14th St. I was trying to call you to get more information about what is your concern with your request. I will be conducting a field survey on your request. So if you can call me, you can call this number 832-395-2128. My name is W Lara. Thank You"
When I called back, they told me it was the Capital Projects division and that the call did not come from that number.

Observations:
On July 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm, on 700 W 10th St and 900 Nicholson St. An investigation was conducted for an All-way stop signs.
This is a four-legged intersection, with asphalt paved street and open ditches, on a residential area. During survey it was observed, the Heights hike and bike trail is located on the west side of Nicholson St, controlled by stop signs on the north and south bound at intersection.
W 10th St is an uncontrolled street with east/west bounds, and Nicholson St is controlled by stop signs for the north and south bounds.
One block North of W 10th St is W 11th St, controlled by stop signs for the north/south bounds.
One block South of W 10th St is W 9th St, controlled by stop signs for the north/south bounds.
One block West of W 10th St is Herkimer St, controlled by stop signs for the north/south bounds.
One block East of W 10th St is Waverly St, controlled by an All-way stop signs.
Traffic counts for this location are as follow:
North/south bound is 15 and East/West bound is 64.
Pedestrians/bicyclists count at the Heights Hike and Bike Trail are 12.
Total volume of vehicles entering the intersection from all approaches must average 500 per hour. 300 for the major street and 200 for the minor street. For any 8 hours on an average day, stop signs are not installed to control cut thru traffic, control speeding or reduce speed.
There are zero traffic crashes recorded at this intersection for the last 12 months, for which 700 W 10th St and 900 Nicholson St did not meet the requirements for an All-way stop sign.
An attempt was made to contact Mr. Emmanuel Nunez about the findings with no response. A message was left in his voicemail.
