Access Rd. connecting Lake Merritt to Edoff Memorial Bandstand
Six police SUV's, some or all with police dogs inside them, idling for at least 15 minutes (idling when I arrived and still idling when I departed). Drivers (officers) were sitting in the adjacent structure - a large open warehouse/shed. I understand that the dogs may need air conditioning if they're left unattended in the vehicles, but am wondering if there's a strategy (bringing the dogs into the shed?) that would allow for the vehicles to be turned off, and allow the Department to further the goals of the City's ECAP Action CL-1 "Evaluate and Reduce Climate Impacts of City Expenditures and Operation"
