Description

There's a pedestrian crossing in the median on Clark Ave., between the church and their parking lot. Unfortunately, the city planted a cedar tree on the east side of the crosswalk (in the media) that completely blocks the pedestrian's view of oncoming traffic. That tree should be removed and replaced with something like a crepe myrtle that allows greater visibility. It's just a matter of time before someone steps into the street and gets hit by a vehicle that was hidden by the ever-expanding tree. By the way, the city removed a dead crepe myrtle on the other side of this pedestrian walkway about six months ago. Could the cedar tree be transplanted to the empty spot where the crepe myrtle used to stand?
