Description
The newly opened ballroom at the Arts Condominium has trucks parked on the Juniper Street sidewalk all day long. According to the front desk, it is a separately owned unit and they have nothing to do with the space or its issues. Party rental trucks pull on to the sidewalk for loading and unloading into a Juniper St. door. Morning until after midnight. This is not a loading zone but a pedestrian walkway. There were several trees planted in beds along this area that have all been run over and killed. Not only are they parking on the Juniper sidewalk, but also in the middle and blocking each end of Irving Street. PPA has been out numerous times but it just continues with the trucks getting tickets.
Food garbage is carted out of the same Juniper St. door of the building into the dumpster for 1322 Locust. I have personally gone out and had the people remove the garbage. One repeat dumper is Stephen Starr events.
Many more issues as well.

Yes, this is absolutely true and the problem not only continues but gets continually worse. More trucks, more noise, more blocked sidewalks. Not only do trucks park on the sidewalk, garbage, ice, equipment, etc. are left to accumulate outside the Juniper St. entrance for hours at a time. And the events keep getting louder. I live across the street on a higher floor, and I can hear music pounding and announcers yelling through my closed windows. It's ridiculous! I can stand directly outside almost any bar/dance club in the city (Woody's for example) and not hear a hint of the dance music inside. But the noise from events at 1324 Locust spill out of their closed windows, reach across the street and up 7 floors, and crash through my closed windows. The catering venue at the Arts Condo is a nuisance business and should be shut down!

4+ trucks parked in the middle of Juniper Street for two hours or more. No traffic could get through. Why does this go on? Because people are getting paid to look the other way?

Another view.

most nights.

Stephen Starr Catering is parked right on the sidewalk. This should be a permanent spot for PPA officers.

Furniture in and out, all the time.

This morning.

Blocking Juniper Street at Locust, with a cone, they parked in the middle of the street for over an hour.

Trash-mouthed worker with truck on sidewalk against building. Also blocking the exit to Doubletree Parking Garage (the brown door blocked by table).

Some small cars are able to pass but most back up. There is a cone placed at the intersection blocking entire street. Maybe they should get a loading Zone on one of the other 3 sides of the building.

More trucks arrive.

Total road block. Not even PPA shows up.

They've been at it again all yesterday and all day today. Vehicles parked on the sidewalk, loud music since at least 5:00pm. No private residence or even a bar/club would be allowed to get away with the noise they generate. I can only guess it's because it's a Stephen Starr venue and he knows/pays all the right people.

Currently have a large white commercial truck parked on the sidewalk directly outside the Juniper St. door and a white van parked on the sidewalk slightly further down the block.

Increased to the large white truck and three vans. PPA just ticketed all of them. Thanks, PPA!

And now they have yet another large white truck parked on the sidewalk, this one from "Anthony's Party Planners."

I don't see how anything will change. The have also removed permanent posts put in by the city. Sawed them off at sidewalk level. Without posts and trees, it's a parking lot all day, every day.

Ownership has been transferred to Stephen Starr Catering. Now they want to open a restaurant with liquor? No possible space for dumpsters. I will fight this!

Still bass bumping at all hours!
