Description

Ziply Fiber contractors have been to our property (19308 20th Ave NW) Wednesday and Thursday, March 22 and 23, to attempt to replace a company "telephone" pole. During the process of accessing the existing pole, branches and limbs on our 100-year-old American Chestnut were damaged or removed, in clear violation of city code (without a permit) regarding landmark trees, and especially regarding the first designated Landmark Tree in Shoreline. The company is returning Friday, March 24 to dig in the critical root zone, again, we believe, without a city permit. We have been able to stop their work on both days and will do so Friday as well. But the city needs to see the damage for themselves (documented in photos and a video) to the tree and stop Ziply Fiber from further work.
