Description

I am requesting the addition of a yellow line to separate the lanes of traffic. On several occasions, I have almost been hit by vehicles entering Washington Park via Henry Johnson Blvd. Cars drive through the intersection of Henry Johnson and State street to enter the park and turn left at the memorial. When doing so, these cars (often going very fast) are not restricted by a central yellow line. As a result, they frequently cross over into the space meant for cars that are leaving the park, causing me to stop abruptly or risk being hit by oncoming traffic. I live on state street and see this scenario play out very frequently for both myself and other drivers on the road. By adding a central yellow line, vehicles entering the the park via henry johnson will be required to stay in their space, making the intersection safer for all drivers.
