The pedestrian only gets a walk sign if they press the button to cross concord on alpine as it is. When a pedestrian does press the walk button, it can still be tough for those with mobility impairments to make it across in one cycle. Also, I see pedestrians here frequently. If there were any changes to this intersection or nearby, I think the focus should be on calming the (mostly speeding) car traffic, not making it harder for pedestrians to cross.
